There’s something wonderful about walking up to your door after a long day at work to find a freshly arrived box of goodies, waiting for you. Especially when that box says ‘Memebox’ on it!
Memebox is a South Korean beauty supply website that boasts the crème de la crème of their countries skincare and cosmotology products. The success of this website is a direct testament to the US’s recent infatuation with all things South Korean. As a long time connoisseur of Korean media (I started listening to G Dragon when I was 14), this new-found surge of appreciation from the United States is bittersweet.
On the one hand, there’s the feeling that something you love is being taken over by people who couldn’t possibly appreciate it as much as you do.
On the other hand, sites like Memebox are flourishing thanks to the added demand for their products, which is in turn making the products I love easier and easier to get ahold of.
Anyway, I digress.
Since the two sets have two products in common, I ordered the Call Me Crazy set and bought the Toner and Hyaluronic Acid, individually.
My favorite product so far from this particular haul is the Hell Pore Clean Up AHA Toner. It’s light and non-drying, with just the slighest hint of a refreshing grapefruit scent. Time will tell if the product is effective for my skin type (fingers crossed).
My previous October order from Memebox was the Mask and Study Box, and the contents of said box have aided and abetted me in one of my deepest addictions: sheet masks.
After a grueling 16 hour shift I shower, add a small portion of a Lush (The Comforter) bubble bar into my steaming foot spa and rifle through the above stack of rectangular jewels, prepared for a morning of relaxation. Spotify playing. Birds outside chirping. My own little heaven on earth.
So, there we have it. My October Memebox haul!
Mars, signing off. ◇
